A few days ago, Gabby discovered a new game: closing doors. First, she tried our bedroom closet. Too dark. Cries sounded from within. Second, she tried the bathroom. Too cold. Cries sounded from within. Third, she tried the laundry room, while Mommy was there to keep her company. Just right. She was up for the challenge. She reached for the door handle while on the tips of her toes and used the very tips of her fingers until she could pull the handle down better and get a grip. The rest was easy. Gabby now opens doors.

Yippee! The first to comment!
See, I told you how smart she is! (Of course, Speckles, the cat, could open the doors that had round knobs, and I think she was younger than Gabby. But then, that was Jennefer's cat.)
If I try to reach like that, I get cramps in my back and shoulders! Oh, to be young. (I keep thinking I'm still 5'9", but I can only get to 5'8" nowadays.)
I certainly hope she's smart enough to open doors, mom. Gabby is smart, yes. Genius? Only time will tell.
ADORABLE? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!
She is so cute!!!!!
Soon the cries you hear won't be from being stuck behind a door, but rather from tiny fingers getting caught in the door. Just another learning process, I guess.
ohhh. good luck to you :) no containment.
