Gabby has taken quite a liking to the alphabet. She can say all the letters (mostly in French), although "W" (pronounced "du-bluh-vey") is shortened to "du" and "Y" has always been "yo-yo" (thanks to the photos that go with the letters). Everywhere we go, she looks out the car window and shouts out letters she sees or finds letters around the store, etc. I am not sure where her excitement for the alphabet came from, but we are happy to go along with it. Now that she has the letters almost down, she is working on numbers and is doing pretty well at 1-10. Below is a video of her reading the alphabet that I promised the grandparents. It's not perfect, but we think it's pretty cute for a 17-month-old. :)

Jen, why is Gabby a child prodigy? Her ABC's are adorable.
[Applause, applause!]
I love it! Thanks for posting that for at least this grandma's request (or, should I say, "Mémé").
Okay, that's so incredible! I should have taught my kids french, too. It's the only language I know anything about since I took it in High School...brilliant! LOVE your blog, too!
Oh, and CONGRATUOLATIONS on the house!!!!!!
Wow! Good work, Jen:)
Man, I didn't learn that until I was 14! Love duhblehvay though! I was straining to remember how to pronounce before Gabby did. Keep up the good work.
I wish you lived in our ward. We have a new french-speaking family from Africa and the best I could do in Primary was get the kids to sing "Bonjour Bonjour. Beinvenue a Primary cette jour." Which is probably quite wrong after the Bonjour part . . . ahhhh!
