No, the post title is not a mistake. I am indeed trying to catch up from what seems like lifetimes ago. We begin with Halloween:
Gabby was excited to carve pumpkins and helped for a whole 2 minutes.
These very thick pumpkins put Jason's surgical hands to the test.
Dora & her sidekick, Boots, paid a visit to our house.
(Gabby is obsessed with Dora and could not have dreamed of a better costume.)
We went to an amazing party that our church had on Saturday. Our friends have a barn that made the perfect venue and they had all sorts of fun games for the kids. Below is Gabby/Dora on the cake walk. She thought it was a cake jump - and jumped on every square. :)
Meanwhile, Claire put Boots onto autopilot while she took a well-deserved rest.
My cousin, Aaron, and his family were able to join in with us. Below is Tammy with cute little pumpkin, Madisyn.
Gabby wasn't aware of the candy aspect of Halloween at this point, so her only treat that night was a red-velvet cupcake. Worst decision ever! She came down with the flu in the middle of the night and let's just say that that cupcake did not make cleaning up her sheets very easy. Poor thing - she was vomiting every 10 minutes that night for several hours. Then she woke up perfectly fine the next day. That is the only time in her life that she has ever had more than a cold. Unfortunately, she is great at sharing and passed on the flu to the rest of our family a few days later. Happy Halloween! :)

Okay, this is eerie. Allianna had red velvet cake at Christmas and came down sick that night--throwing up like a dozen times. It's not easy cleaning! I think I'm avoiding that cake from now on . . . creepy.
PS/ Simon had a book from school about baobob trees and I had to pull out the old Zim album and show him you and me in front of one. It was good for them to see since my girls are obsessed with your Christmas card.
