Tulip Festival

Our first weekend back in the States, some friends invited us to go to the Skagit Tulip Festival, where we were able to appreciate the beauty of Washington.  The number and variety of gorgeous tulips there never fails to impress us.  To the dismay of our husbands, the scene also makes for some nice photo backdrops:

Whenever we go to the tulip festival, we do a picnic lunch near the tulips and then stop for ice cream at Snow Goose Produce.  Strange name - amazingly rich and creamy ice cream.  Below, you can see the girls holding their "child-size" cones.  The adult cones are twice as big.  We knew it was just a matter of time before the gallon of ice cream on the top of the kids' cones would fall off.  After an impressive 5 or 10 minutes, Gabby's was the first to go.  We braced ourselves for her scream.  Instead, we heard a cheerful, "Oh, yea!  Now I can eat my cone!"  Talk about seeing the cup half full.

Jennefer, Love, love, love what you're doing in Kenya! I've been looking for some humanitarian projects that I could do with my children. Is there something we could do for/with your organization. Thanks, Jody Peterson (Jason's cousin)
