After getting sucked back into daily life, I am finally back to post about the end of our trip. Read about it here: www.thesupermanclub.blogspot.com.

I've been so interested in every detail from your Congo trip and your epic journey to parenthood. Thanks for sharing it all. Coincidentally, May Day this year reminded me that it was 12 years ago we were on our way to Zimbabwe through Amsterdam. I sang 'Hakuna wakaita' to my girls at bedtime the other night, maybe their first time hearing it, and they were instantly charmed. We're singing it dozens of times daily so my 5 year old can get it memorized like she wants. We even pulled out the very dusty photo book and they saw you and baby Tendai and Stella and Moses and many other things. It's neat to hear your voice again experiencing so many similar things--very touching to me that you're bringing boys home, where all we could do before was to love them in that moment.

And here's a funny thing, maybe I've mentioned it before, but my girls have your Christmas card still hanging on their wall, totally intrigued by your girls. Even more so now that they've seen your Zimbabwean escapades. Someday they can be friends . . . :)

Finally, so sorry for you and that nasty nasty stomach bug. It really was true motherhood when you got thrown-up on only a few days in--and inevitable that you were going down. Funny, I don't remember you ever sick, but I sure remember my turns.
